A part of being a military spouse is being strong while your loved one is deployed.
Andrew is only gone for a few weeks but still, Thats a long time for me.
He is my best friend
The one who keeps me warm at night
He is the one who makes sure I laugh 20x a day
always makes me feel beautiful even when I feel my worst
he is my reason for making dinners at night
Luckily I am used to Andrew having to go away for work. I have found myself stronger after each one. So its helpful for me too even if I dont notice it right away.
I will be setting up the christmas decorations, to keep myself busy and I will paint the guest room and the bathroom to stop me from just sitting all day.
Day one of deployment hasn't been too bad.... I did feel myself getting a little bitter and weak in the morning but ANdrew has been texting me whenever he can and that helps a lot.
We both left the house together this morning because our Purgy puppy would have FREAKED if she saw him just leave. Dogs are smart they know when someone is about to leave her, she was crying all yesterday whenever he just brought something to the car.
So I met one of my new wonderful friends at the mall. Her name is Caitlin and I will say I am very lucky to have a friend to keep me company on this thanksgiving and christmas decorating season. He husband is just coming back from deployment and now that mine is gone we know how to be there for each other. Truthfully the best thing is just to have the company.
I met her at the mall today and we did some window shopping. After that I went to the bookstore
I just love to get about 10 magazines and curl up on one of their chairs in the store.
This one chair that i found just happened to be in the middle of the store in the middle of an isle.
But I was so relaxed I completely zoned out everyone out who was running around me.
I then came home to Purgy Puppy and took her for a walk.
(goal for the next 3 weeks... exercise everyday and lose 8 pounds for Xmas party and my birthday!)
My date is "picking" me up at 8 tonight for a wonderful skype sesh before he is off to work 12am till 6 am.
This will be my "thankful" section I hope to do it till thanksgiving.

* That I can blast my Xmas music till andrew comes home!
