Wanna see my bathroom?

Welcome to what I have been doing the past week while Andrew is on deployment. The tile still needs to go! And all the little details will go up soon too!

crazy and lazy

Andrew leaves Tuesday for a 2 week deployment.

Andrews father comes to visit our new home right when Andrew is back from deployment.

So we are trying to get all the jobs done before My love is sent away.

My job to keep me busy while my loving entertainment is gone, is to paint three rooms.

In our HUGE bathroom that has nothing but a toilet ( i hate that word... still sounds dirty) and a sink... thats IT, and its wall to wall GREEN!

So Andrew had the idea of pleasing me and getting wood panel because I am old school and LOVE any extra moldings or wood panel even more if its white!

So after nailing the panel onto the walls we had to spackel them and then painting comes along...

BUT we are little to lazy to paint them especially with all the cracks it has so we used our new found love... spray paint!

We were safe and switched off every two min and had the windows open and fans blowing.

so martha stewart... beat that! ( no just kidding I love you M.S.!!! )

An Accomplished Weekend Including Lots of Caulking

After this wonderful weekend, I can proudly say that I can cross off TWO goals from my list!

This weekend we put down wood floors in the guest room.

We also did our part and recycled something... our guest room carpet!

put it down in the basement, and bam! you have a finished basement.. right?

Andrew surprised me completely and bought a guest room bed ( pillow top!)

and our DREAM couch! have you ever had you had your eye on something and wanted it SO badly that you "checked up on it" at the store? yeah we did that weekly.

I don't know what we were waiting for, maybe thinking if the store got to know our names from all the visits they would JUST hand it over to us one day.

well this day andrew picked it out and there we go! a new HUGE couch.

I call it the (honeymoons over) couch because its so big that we can both lay out and not even touch each other. But dont worry, i always make sure my feet or hands somehow have him.

Purgy our puppy even has her own spot, and i just caught her on camera dreaming, oh puppy dreams.

And more great news!

I can NOW jump around in my living room wearing whatever i want!

I can do my weird yoga and toning exercises without my NEIGHBORS seeing me!

After 2 months of naked windows, we have made our own curtain rods and added wonderful periwinkle blue curtains pulled back with white rope ( very nautical). I am a very happy girl!

And who says that just because we have a house that we HAVE to grow up?

After working very hard on the house, we added to TWO leafs two our hardwood dining room table and played PING PONG!

I am very bad at it, but no one was injured this time around.

*heat update*

second week into november and still have yet to turn the heat on!!!!

it is 55 right now in our lovely home.

i love it!

lets make it to december!

We did caulk all around the windows to get rid of any cracks where the cold air would get in.

( I need to get over my fear of getting embarrassed when asking where the caulk is when at a hardware store)
