Going Down Unda!?

This morning we were visited by lovely Mrs. Caitlin , still in pj's and bare face, we sat around enjoying hot morning drink chatting like little school girls. A wonderful start to my day I'd say.

So ready for some aussiemazing news?!
Well, Andrew's father is an amazing athlete and just finished the
Arizona Iron Man Race.
He got a call from the Australia Iron Man to do their race next year!

We wanted to be on his dads "pit crew" on this last one but Andrew was on deployment.
So guess what!?

next year.... December 4th... which happens to be my 24th birthday will be spent....
In AUSTRALIA!
It will be so much fun being Andrews fathers cheer team!

I called my mom and told her and guess what she did.... being a sappy mom that she is...
she cried. yes she did, but tears of joy.

Thing is, my grandfather used to go to Australia all the time and bring me back koala bear stuffed animals and shits, ever since then my dream was to see no other country but Australia.

An embarrassing picture of me showing off my new Aussie shit with my doggie

In other news...

Andrew and I have started a travel journal.
I got this idea from a lovely blog called Todays Letters in her post called
How it works is one of us writes whatever you wish to your love in this journal, something encouraging to make their day or a reminder of your love. Then hide it somewhere for them to just find randomly one day and make their day! Then they are tagged to write to you. It will be fun to keep track of Andrews little love notes in one little place.

I have a bad habit of keeping notes and letters, at my mothers house i have a box ( that I didn't want to move with) full of v-day cards, notes, love notes, and pen pal letters all starting back from 4th grade

Whats a weird thing you have held on to from your childhood?

Geo Caching!

We had a wonderful halloween with great friends. The next day on the real halloween day, we went for a walk to enjoy the last day of October.
We love to do this awesome activity called Geo caching. You get the coordinates for a geo cache and you try to find it in the woods or where ever it may be. There will be a box of some sort with a log book and lots of prizes. The code is to write in the log what you are taking for a prize and what prize you are leaving. Its like scavenger hunting, but its world wide!

We dressed up Purgy in her halloween witch outfit and headed out looking for it. My radar left us down a new path we had never been too and we walked up to a huge open field of tall grass. on the side of this field was a little hide away cabin with a family sitting in, enjoying the animals running through the field.
we tried to not bother them but the radar brought us right over to them. The clue we were given was that you step on it.
I lifted up the wooden steps and there it was!

This was a big box of surprises that included TWO logs, the log book went back to 10 years ago!
We left behind our plastic number 4 and we took a wonderful toy jeep! (beep beep)
